Wall's Czarina Anastasia II

Tasha-Bug
(July 1994-September 2006)

Tasha was my third husky, the daughter of my first husky, Wall's Czarina Anastasia--Ana. Tasha was born in my bathtub in the early morning hours of July 8, 1994. (Ana seemed to like having her puppies in the middle of the night.)

Tasha was not just my dog, she was my friend. She kept me company and listened to my problems. She didn't offer much advice, but she listened.

Good natured, Tasha was a gentle animal. She liked everyone and everyone liked her. The only creatures with whom she was not gentle were fur-bearing quadrapeds (small mammals). Those she enjoyed killing. While I lived in Ohio, she single-pawed kept the yard free of moles, squirrels, rabbits, possums, raccoons, and just about anything else she could kill. (She was also unkind to Caesar Alexander, our other husky, when he wanted to make baby huskies!)

Tasha loved to run. She was fast and kept getting loose. She would never come back when I called her and I had to chase her down. She was smart. You could watch her process information or plan another escape.

Shortly before she died, she suffered a heat stroke. She had almost fully recovered from it when a car got her (another escape with a tragic ending). I had prayed during her recovery that I would not have to see her die. Thank God I was spared that.

It was a privelege to have had Tasha-Bug as a friend and she is greatly missed. She was a "pretty good dog."

Rest in Peace, Tasha
